Join and take part in groups
A group is a community’s home on GatherEasy: a running club, a book club, a meetup series, a venue’s programme. Groups have members, a calendar of events, a group chat and a page anyone can visit.
Find a group
Section titled “Find a group”- Explore → Groups lists groups, including Suggested Groups. Use the search button to find one by name.
- An event page shows the group that runs it under the title (“By group”). Choose the name to open the group.
- Someone can share a group’s link with you.
A group page shows the group’s members, city and rating. The rating averages attendee feedback on the events the group has hosted, with the number of ratings.
Join a group
Section titled “Join a group”Open the group and choose Join group. What happens next depends on the group:
- Public and Unlisted groups: you join straight away. Some groups review new members first. Your request waits until a manager approves it.
- Invite Only groups: you can only join with an invitation from the group’s managers. Invitations arrive as notifications.
Members get notified when the group publishes a new event.

- About: what the group is about.
