Privacy and safety
Report something
Section titled “Report something”Reports are private and reviewed by GatherEasy’s Trust & Safety team.
- An event: on the event page, choose Report event, pick a Reason and add Details.
- A chat message: press and hold the message (or hover over it) and choose Report.
- Anything else, such as a group, a user or a post: open the profile menu, choose Need support? → Make a report. Choose the Target type (Event, Group, User, Message or General support or resource), paste the item’s ID or link if you have it, choose a reason and describe what happened.
Reasons include Harassment or unsafe behaviour, Spam or scam, Inappropriate content, Impersonation and Something else.
Block someone
Section titled “Block someone”Press and hold a message from them in a chat and choose Block. You and the blocked person can’t message each other, and their messages no longer show in your chats.
If you’re in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
What hosts can see
Section titled “What hosts can see”When you register for an event, its hosts see your name, profile picture, the email address you registered with, your answers to their registration questions and whether you’ve checked in. Other guests see your name and picture on the guest list if the host shows it.
Signed-in devices
Section titled “Signed-in devices”Account settings → Account → Signed-In Devices lists every browser and device signed in to your account, with when each was last active.
- Choose Sign Out next to a device to end that session.
- Choose Sign Out Everywhere to sign out on every device, including this one. Use it if you’ve lost a device or signed in somewhere you no longer trust.
Signing out of the website doesn’t disconnect AI assistants you’ve connected. See Disconnect an assistant.
Keep your account safe
Section titled “Keep your account safe”GatherEasy will never ask for your sign-in code, a password, a card number or a ticket code by message or email. Don’t share them with anyone, including people who say they’re from support.
Delete your account
Section titled “Delete your account”- Go to Account settings → Account and choose Delete Account.
- Read the warning and choose Delete My Account.
This permanently deletes your account and your events. It can’t be undone. If you own a group, transfer ownership first so the community can carry on. See Transfer ownership.
Get a copy of your data
Section titled “Get a copy of your data”You can ask for an export of your data from an AI assistant connected to GatherEasy (“request a GatherEasy data export”), or by contacting support.
