Use GatherEasy from an AI assistant

You can use GatherEasy from inside the AI assistant you already use. Once it’s connected, you can ask things like:

  • “Find me something social to do on Thursday evening in Amsterdam, nothing too loud.”
  • “RSVP me to the Quiet Readers Club and add it to my calendar.”
  • “Plan a design meetup for about 20 people next month and suggest three venues.”
  • “Who still hasn’t paid for Saturday’s workshop? Offer their places to the waitlist.”
  • “Draft an announcement telling my guests the venue has changed, and show it to me before sending.”

The assistant works with your real GatherEasy account, with the same permissions you have in the app.

GatherEasy offers an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to apps. You add GatherEasy to your assistant once, sign in to GatherEasy in your browser and approve access. After that, the assistant can call GatherEasy on your behalf when a conversation needs it.

The address to connect to is:

https://gathereasy.rsvp/api/mcp

Pick your assistant:

  • A GatherEasy account. Browsing public events and venues works without one, but anything personal needs you to sign in.
  • An assistant that supports remote MCP servers (also called custom connectors or apps). Most do: see the setup guides above.

In assistants that support MCP Apps, such as Claude and ChatGPT, GatherEasy can show an interactive panel inside the conversation. You’ll see event and venue cards, a host’s guest list, management summaries and group cards. You can page through results in the panel itself. Ask “open GatherEasy” to show your upcoming events. Assistants without MCP Apps support get the same information as text.

  • You approve what it can do. When you connect, GatherEasy shows exactly what the assistant is asking for. Mail access is optional. See Sign-in and permissions.
  • Your assistant asks before changing things. Assistants show you each action that creates, changes or sends something, and ask you to confirm, depending on your assistant’s settings.
  • Payments stay in GatherEasy. An assistant never charges your card or sees ticket codes. For a paid ticket, it gives you a secure checkout link to pay yourself.
  • You can disconnect at any time. See Disconnect an assistant.
