Tickets and payment
Buy a ticket
Section titled “Buy a ticket”- On the event page, choose Buy ticket.
- If there’s more than one ticket type, choose one under Choose your ticket type. Each type shows its price and how many are left. Some ticket types only go on sale at a certain time (Sales open with a date) or have stopped selling (Sales closed, Sold out).
- Have a promo code? Enter it under Promo code and choose Apply. You’ll see Promo code applied if it’s valid.
- Choose Continue to checkout.
- Check the order summary. It shows the tickets, any promo discount, fees, the total and the host’s refund policy. Then choose Pay.
- You’re taken to a secure Stripe checkout page to pay.
When the payment is confirmed you’ll see Payment confirmed, and your ticket appears on the event page.
How you can pay
Section titled “How you can pay”Payments are processed by Stripe. GatherEasy never sees or stores your card number. The payment methods on offer are chosen by the group running the event. They can include cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna, Revolut Pay and local methods such as iDEAL | Wero, Bancontact, BLIK and EPS.
Your place is held while you pay
Section titled “Your place is held while you pay”When you start checkout, your place is reserved for 1 hour. If you leave checkout without paying, you’ll see Checkout cancelled. Your place stays held until the order expires, and you can choose Resume secure checkout to finish. After it expires, start the registration again.
“Payment processing”
Section titled ““Payment processing””Some payment methods take a moment to confirm. While that happens, the event page shows Payment processing. Your ticket appears as soon as Stripe confirms the payment. The page updates by itself.
Receipts
Section titled “Receipts”After paying you get a confirmation email. The seller’s details on your invoice come from the group that runs the event.
Your ticket and check-in
Section titled “Your ticket and check-in”Your ticket is a QR code.
- Open the event page and choose View ticket.
- At the door, show the code. Staff scan it to check you in.
- Once you’re scanned, the ticket shows Checked in.
Never share a screenshot of your ticket publicly. Anyone with the code could use your place.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”The promo code doesn’t work. Codes belong to one event, can expire and can have a limited number of uses. Check the spelling and ask the host if it’s still valid.
“Tickets for this event aren’t on sale yet.” The host hasn’t finished setting up payments. Contact the host.
“Each attendee can register for one ticket.” You already have a ticket for this event. Each person registers with their own account.
“Checkout expired.” Your 1-hour hold ran out. Start the registration again; if the event has filled up in the meantime, you can join the waitlist.
