What you can do with an assistant
A connected assistant can do almost everything you can do in the GatherEasy app, and a few things the app doesn’t offer yet. Just describe what you want in your own words. The examples below show what’s possible.
Finding things to do
Section titled “Finding things to do”- “What’s on in Amsterdam this weekend? I like live music and food.”
- “Find free tech meetups within 10 km of me next week.”
- “What are my friends going to this month?”
- “Recommend events for me.”
- “Tell me more about the first one: who’s hosting, how many are going and what people said about the group’s past events?”
- “Show me reviews for this event.”
- “Find a venue for 40 people for a reception in De Pijp, with a projector and wifi.”
- “Rank these three venues for a relaxed design meetup.”
Finished events are left out unless you ask for past events.
RSVPs, tickets and invitations
Section titled “RSVPs, tickets and invitations”- “RSVP me to the Quiet Readers Club.”
- “Do I have any event invitations? Accept the one from Lina.”
- “What am I going to next week?”
- “I’m on the waitlist for Saturday’s workshop. Accept the offer if there is one.”
- “What would happen if I cancelled my ticket for Friday?” The assistant previews the cancellation first.
- “Cancel my registration for Friday’s dinner.”
- “Update my answer to the dietary question to vegetarian.”
- “Give me the payment link for my pending ticket.” You complete the payment yourself in GatherEasy.

- “Add a required registration question: dietary requirements.”

Ready-made prompts
Section titled “Ready-made prompts”GatherEasy gives your assistant a few guided starting points. Where your assistant shows MCP prompts (for example in Claude’s + menu or as / commands), look for:
| Prompt | What it does |
|---|---|
| Plan an event | Turns an idea into a draft event: venues, date, tickets and questions, checking with you before each step. |
| Weekly host digest | Lists what needs your attention across upcoming events (approvals, waitlists, offers, refund requests) without changing anything. |
| Draft an event announcement | Writes an announcement for an event’s guests and sends it only after you approve. |
| What did I miss | Catches you up on notifications, chats, invitations and what’s next, most urgent first. |
| Find something to do | Suggests up to five events by time, place and interests, including what friends are going to, and asks before RSVPing. |
| Triage my inbox | Sorts unread mail into needs a reply, needs an action and can wait, and drafts replies without sending. |
What assistants can’t do
Section titled “What assistants can’t do”- Charge you. Paid tickets stay pending until you complete checkout in GatherEasy. Assistants never see ticket codes.
- Transfer a ticket to someone else. Cancel, and let them register.
- Change a ticket’s price, quantity or payment. Assistants can edit your registration answers only.
- Send friend requests. Friends are people who follow each other.
- Delete an event with payment history. Cancel it instead. The record is kept for refunds.
- Be specific about which event. If you host several, name the event or its date.
- Read confirmations. Before anything is created, changed or sent, your assistant shows you the action. Check the details, especially for announcements and email, which reach people straight away.
- If something fails, check before repeating. Ask “did that announcement go out?” before trying again, so nothing is sent twice.
