Notifications
GatherEasy can reach you in three ways:
- In the app: the bell icon lists your notifications. Choose Mark all as read to clear them.
- Email.
- Push notifications on your phone or computer, even when GatherEasy is closed.
Choose what you’re notified about
Section titled “Choose what you’re notified about”Go to Account settings → Preferences → Notifications. Under What to notify me about, turn Email and Push on or off for each topic:

| My registrations | Your registration was approved or declined, or a waitlist place opened. |
| Invitations | Someone invited you to an event or a group. |
| Groups | A group you’re in published an event, or your role changed. |
| Payments and tickets | Payment confirmations, refunds and tickets. |
| Event reminders | A reminder about 24 hours before an event you’re going to. |
| Chat messages | New messages in your chats. Push only, never emailed. |
The in-app list always keeps everything, whatever you choose here.
Turn on push notifications
Section titled “Turn on push notifications”- Go to Account settings → Preferences → Notifications.
- Turn on Push for the topics you want.
- When your browser asks, choose Allow.
You’ll see “Push notifications are on for this device.” Push is set per device, so repeat this on each phone or computer you use. GatherEasy may also show a Stay in the loop prompt. Choose Turn on notifications there for the same result.
“Your browser is blocking notifications”
Section titled ““Your browser is blocking notifications””You (or your browser) blocked notifications for GatherEasy earlier. Allow them again in the browser’s site settings:
- Chrome / Edge: select the icon to the left of the address bar → Site settings → Notifications → Allow.
- Safari on Mac: Safari → Settings → Websites → Notifications → set gathereasy.rsvp to Allow.
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → Notifications → GatherEasy.
- Android: Settings → Apps → Chrome (or GatherEasy) → Notifications.
Then reload GatherEasy and turn push on again. If you see “This browser cannot show push notifications”, try another browser or install GatherEasy as an app.
Unsubscribed from an email?
Section titled “Unsubscribed from an email?”Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you used it, that topic shows “Emails for this are off — you unsubscribed from a link.” Choose Turn emails back on to start receiving them again.
Mute a single chat
Section titled “Mute a single chat”To silence one noisy conversation without turning off all chat notifications, open it and choose Mute. See Chats.
