A connected assistant can do almost everything you can do in the GatherEasy app, and a few things the app doesn't offer yet. Just describe what you want in your own words. The examples below show what's possible.

## Finding things to do

- "What's on in Amsterdam this weekend? I like live music and food."
- "Find free tech meetups within 10 km of me next week."
- "What are my friends going to this month?"
- "Recommend events for me."
- "Tell me more about the first one: who's hosting, how many are going and what people said about the group's past events?"
- "Show me reviews for this event."
- "Find a venue for 40 people for a reception in De Pijp, with a projector and wifi."
- "Rank these three venues for a relaxed design meetup."

Finished events are left out unless you ask for past events.

## RSVPs, tickets and invitations

- "RSVP me to the Quiet Readers Club."
- "Do I have any event invitations? Accept the one from Lina."
- "What am I going to next week?"
- "I'm on the waitlist for Saturday's workshop. Accept the offer if there is one."
- "What would happen if I cancelled my ticket for Friday?" The assistant previews the cancellation first.
- "Cancel my registration for Friday's dinner."
- "Update my answer to the dietary question to vegetarian."
- "Give me the payment link for my pending ticket." You complete the payment yourself in GatherEasy.
- "Send me my receipt for the jazz night" or "Resend my confirmation email."
- "Add the book club to my GatherEasy calendar."
- "Mark that event I found on another site as interesting."

## Hosting events

- "Create a draft event: Sunday Run Club, 9:00–10:30 on the 12th, Vondelpark, free, 30 places, with a waitlist."
- "Duplicate last month's workshop for the 14th" or "Make it a series: every first Thursday until March."
- "Add two ticket types: Early bird €10 until Friday, then Regular €15."
- "Create a 20% promo code FRIENDS for the workshop, limited to 10 uses."
- "Add a required registration question: dietary requirements."
- "Set the cover to this image" (paste a link).
- "What would cancelling Saturday's event do? How many paid tickets would be refunded?"
- "Publish it."

## Running the door and the guest list

- "Give me a summary of everything that needs my attention across my events."
- "Who's on the waitlist for Saturday? Offer the next three places."
- "Approve everyone pending for the workshop who answered the question."
- "Find the guest called Sam Lee and check them in." Or "Undo that check-in."
- "Add my colleague Priya as a comp guest" (a free place on the list).
- "Invite everyone in my book club group who came to an event in the last six months."
- "Remove the guest who registered twice."
- "Export the guest list as a CSV."
- "Show the refund requests for Friday and refund Maria in full."
- "How is the event page doing? Where are visitors coming from?" or "What's the payout for last week's event?"
- "Show the event's activity log."

## Co-hosts and announcements

- "Add Theo as a co-host and Jordan as check-in staff."
- "Draft an announcement to everyone going: doors open at 18:45 instead of 19:00. Show me before you send."
- "Schedule a reminder announcement for the morning of the event to guests who haven't checked in."
- "Send the announcement only to people with VIP tickets, with replies going to me."

## Groups

- "Find running groups in Utrecht and join the friendliest one."
- "Create a group called Amsterdam Type Nerds, unlisted, based in Amsterdam."
- "Who are the members of my group who haven't come to an event in three months?"
- "Tag everyone who volunteered last time as 'volunteer'."
- "Make Lina an organiser of my group." Or "Transfer ownership to Lina."
- "Invite Sam to my group," "approve the pending join requests" or "remove the spam account from my group."
- "Put the partner workshop on my group's calendar" or "Review the events submitted to my group."
- "Send a message to every member of my group."
- "How is my group doing? Show sales, insights and recent reviews."

## People, chats and posts

- "Who should I invite to my next event?"
- "Follow the host of last night's event and add a private note: met at the book club."
- "Catch me up on my chats" or "What did people say in the event chat?"
- "Message the hosts of Saturday's dinner to ask if there's a vegetarian option."
- "Start a group chat with Lina and Theo called Saturday hikers."
- "Mute the noisy group chat."
- "Write a Circles post recapping last night's event" or "Like and save Lina's latest post."
- "Block that account and report it for spam."

## Your account

- "What did I miss?": notifications, invitations, chats and what's next.
- "Turn off email for chat messages" or "Mark all my notifications as read."
- "Update my bio" or "Use this photo as my profile picture" (paste a link).
- "Which devices am I signed in on? Sign out the old laptop."
- "Request an export of my GatherEasy data."

## Email

With mail access and a linked mailbox, an assistant becomes a mail client too:

- "Triage my unread email."
- "Find the venue's quote from last week and reply to accept."
- "Forward the invoice to Theo" or "Save a draft reply. Don't send it."
- "Email all guests of the workshop the slides, Bcc them."
- "Send the venue an invite to my event with the calendar file attached."
- "Accept the calendar invitation from the photographer."
- "Turn this email about a meetup into a GatherEasy event."
- "Schedule this email for Monday at 9."

## Ready-made prompts

GatherEasy gives your assistant a few guided starting points. Where your assistant shows MCP prompts (for example in Claude's **+** menu or as `/` commands), look for:

| Prompt | What it does |
| ------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Plan an event** | Turns an idea into a draft event: venues, date, tickets and questions, checking with you before each step. |
| **Weekly host digest** | Lists what needs your attention across upcoming events (approvals, waitlists, offers, refund requests) without changing anything. |
| **Draft an event announcement** | Writes an announcement for an event's guests and sends it only after you approve. |
| **What did I miss** | Catches you up on notifications, chats, invitations and what's next, most urgent first. |
| **Find something to do** | Suggests up to five events by time, place and interests, including what friends are going to, and asks before RSVPing. |
| **Triage my inbox** | Sorts unread mail into needs a reply, needs an action and can wait, and drafts replies without sending. |

## What assistants can't do

- **Charge you.** Paid tickets stay pending until you complete checkout in GatherEasy. Assistants never see ticket codes.
- **Transfer a ticket** to someone else. Cancel, and let them register.
- **Change a ticket's price, quantity or payment.** Assistants can edit your registration answers only.
- **Send friend requests.** Friends are people who follow each other.
- **Delete an event with payment history.** Cancel it instead. The record is kept for refunds.

## Tips

- **Be specific about which event.** If you host several, name the event or its date.
- **Read confirmations.** Before anything is created, changed or sent, your assistant shows you the action. Check the details, especially for announcements and email, which reach people straight away.
- **If something fails, check before repeating.** Ask "did that announcement go out?" before trying again, so nothing is sent twice.
