Add GatherEasy once on claude.ai and it's available in Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps too, as they share your account's connectors. Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans.

### Add the connector

<Steps>

1. Open [claude.ai](https://claude.ai) (or Claude Desktop) and go to **Customize → Connectors**.

2. Choose **+ Add**, then **Add custom connector**.

3. Enter a name, such as `GatherEasy`, and the remote MCP server URL:

   ```
   https://gathereasy.rsvp/api/mcp
   ```

   Choose **Continue**.

4. Leave the authentication settings as they are. GatherEasy uses standard OAuth and registers Claude automatically, so you don't need a client ID, secret or API key. Choose **Continue**, then **Add**.

5. Choose **Connect** (or **Sign in**) next to GatherEasy. A GatherEasy window opens. Sign in and choose **Allow access**. See [Sign-in and permissions](https://help.gathereasy.rsvp/ai-assistants/permissions.md).

</Steps>

### Use it in a chat

Choose the **+** button at the bottom left of the message box, then **Connectors**, and make sure **GatherEasy** is switched on. Then just ask, for example: "What's on this weekend on GatherEasy?"

You can turn individual GatherEasy tools on or off, or choose whether Claude asks before using them, from the connector's settings in **Customize → Connectors**.

<Aside title="Team and Enterprise plans">
  An organisation owner first adds GatherEasy in **Organization settings →
  Connectors → Add → Custom → Web**, using the same URL. Members then connect it
  from their own **Customize → Connectors**.

### Add the server

Run this in your terminal:

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http gathereasy https://gathereasy.rsvp/api/mcp
```

Add `--scope user` to make it available in every project, rather than only the current one.

### Sign in

<Steps>

1. Start Claude Code and type `/mcp`.

2. Select **gathereasy** and choose **Authenticate**.

3. Your browser opens the GatherEasy sign-in page. Sign in and choose **Allow access**.

4. Back in Claude Code, `/mcp` shows GatherEasy as connected.

</Steps>

Then ask for what you need, for example: "Using GatherEasy, list my upcoming events and anything that needs my attention."

To remove it: `claude mcp remove gathereasy`.

## Try these first

- "Open GatherEasy" shows your upcoming events in the interactive panel.
- "Who am I signed in as on GatherEasy?"
- "Catch me up on GatherEasy."

Claude also lists GatherEasy's ready-made prompts, such as **Plan an event** and **Weekly host digest**. See [Prompts](https://help.gathereasy.rsvp/ai-assistants/what-you-can-do.md#ready-made-prompts).
